I am a 4th year Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Trainee in Cluj-Napoca and the current President of AMRPR

Ever since I was young I have always been fascinated by the way things work. No clocks would work in my house because I was always opening them up to see how they tick. Somebody once said that if the mind was simple we would be too simple to understand it so during my years in college I became fascinated in psychiatry and all that it entails.
I finished med school in Iasi and I wanted to see more of the world so I came to Cluj-Napoca to do my residency in child and adolescent psychiatry. I am interested in all things psychiatry and hope to understand a little bit more of the hodge-podge that is
psychiatry in Europe.

I welcome you all to Bucharest and hope that you have a good time here!”

Matei Costin

Matei Costin

1st year specialist in psychiatry in Germany, former Coordinator of the National Trainees Associations at EFPT. Global Mental Health MSc Student at the University of Glasgow

I chose psychiatry because I like people and enjoy hearing their life stories, sad and happy alike. I am also interested in people’s behaviour in a cultural context and strongly believe we will be able to offer better care for our patients if we learn from our colleagues all over the world.
My journey in EFPT started in 2016 at the forum in Antwerp. Afterwards I had the chance to coordinate the National Trainees Associations for two years and met lots of interesting psychiatrists from all over Europe, some of whom are now my friends. EFPT has given me many opportunities and I would like to help other trainees to find their path. I am looking forward to welcoming you at the EFPT Forum 2020 in my home country!

 Elian Tololoanca

Elian Tololoanca

Hello, my name is Elian Mihnea Tololoanca, and the reason I chose medicine was to discover and acquire knowledge on the intricate workings of the human body.
The first time I took part of an EFPT forum was in 2018 in Bristol. I find EFPT to be a great way to meet experts from the medical field and share quality information with them. In this way, I feel like this helped me become a better physician, and more in tuned with what is happening across Europe and the world.

Anca Pîrvulescu

Anca Pîrvulescu

2nd Year Medical Student

Hello, everyone! My name is Anca Pîrvulescu and I am a 2nd year medical student in Bucharest.

I chose medicine due to my interest in studying the underlying processes of the human body and mind, to ultimately be able have a positive impact on people’s lives by treating them. Growing up I’ve had the chance to learn and understand various notions and process regarding the human mind, along with my mother, while she was training in psychotherapy. By linking my early interest for the human psyche and my passion for medicine, I plan to specialize in psychiatry when I graduate. For this reason, I believe being part of this year’s forum Local Organizing Committee is an honorable opportunity.

I’m looking forward to welcoming you all in Bucharest, where I hope you’ll have a great time and a fruitful experience!

Adrian Tintareanu

Adrian Tintareanu

1st Year Psychiatry Trainee

I am a first-year Psychiatry Trainee and I am currently practicing in Bucharest. The main reason for I’ve chosen psychiatry was my utter proclivity for the concealed, for those hidden aspects of life that withold the most sensitive details of a human being. And what place can suit that more than the human mind?
